Life goes on... - Week 3 - Tuesday, October 25, 2016

I honestly don't even know how people have so much to write about because it almost feels like I am living in the movie Groundhog Day MTC style. It isn't quite the same, but still you get the idea. Let me just start off by saying that the MTC is nothing like I had expected it to be. I may have already said that, but I honestly do not remember what I have said already and what I haven't. The sad part is is that I haven't met of anyone going to my mission. I did talk to this person that told me their companion was going there, but I didn't get to meet them. It is crazy that I am halfway done with my time at the MTC. So lately I have not been liking the MTC at all. I just felt like we are so unproductive and stuff. Then I was at choir on Sunday and let me just say that if you go on a mission and come to the Provo MTC you better be doing choir because it is without a doubt one of the best things that go one here. The choir director is named Brother Egget I think. He told a story about how he sees on facebook about how missionaries moms say how their kids hate the MTC. He said how he feels bad for those missionaries because the MTC is a time where missionaries have their own personal one on one time with the Savior. When he said this I just thought wow. This guy is amazing let me just say. Ever since then I have looked at my time here differently. I used to think that I was here so that I could learn about the gospel and learn spanish. Now I realize that I am here to learn for the Savior. This isn't my work, I don't convert people. God converts people and this is his work. I am not doing anything out here without him. So I really do appreciate the MTC a lot more now.

Oh well guess what!!! I am going to assume you guys said what. We get to host tomorrow!! We are all so excited! Like I cannot even wait!! It will be kind of weird to be on the other side of it though.

Seriously nothing new happens at all so I will send a bunch of pictures to try and make up for the short email! If you guys have some time though or during your scripture study go check out 2 Nephi 4 sometime! It really is amazing and I have read it a bunch! Especially pay attention to verses 27-35. They have been making a big impact on me lately. Well I love you guys so much and miss you a ton! I know everyone says that, but when you hear me say that... or type it. You can know that it is true!

Con amor

Davis
