So this week was fun. I got to go on my first lesson by myself! Well I went with a member, but I was in charge! It was pretty scary. I went with this recent convert to one of the ladies that has a baptism date. Well I found out she doesn't want to be baptized! So that is always good! It was going good until she said she didn't want to be baptized anymore. Then I was freaking out! Luckily my trusty recent convert Walter saved the day! Well she doesn't want to be baptized, but he talked to her which was good! Overall I would say I did pretty good for my first time. This recent convert Walter is way awesome though! He is from El Salvador and he is ripped. This guy has some good muscles on his body. He basically looks like a Hispanic Bruce Willis in his prime. He also took us out to eat dinner and we got these amazing papusas. I think that's how you spell it they are basically like a tortilla, but stuffed with cheese, beans or other stuff. They are so good.
One of the things that I have been thinking about is that I am here on the Lord's time. Yes it was my decision to come here, but my time here isnt mine. It is the Lord's. A lot of time we want stuff to happen in our time, but we can't really choose. So this week all of our investigators with baptism dates both said they don't feel ready. The Aragon family said they want to wait a little longer. Then Rosa actually said she doesn't feel the need to be baptized so that was a full turn. We can only do all we can and then they choose, but the Lord will make sure that his people hear is gospel when they need it. So yeah, but the Aragon family said that they still want to be baptized, but they just don't feel ready. They will get baptized though. They are a really great family. So this week me and Elder Porter were walking and he said how he feels like he isn't having any success, but he feels like all his friends are because they are having baptisms "every week". This is one of the lies of missionary work. How you measure your success as a missionary is through the number of baptisms. In the Ricciardi Letters it says that how you measure your success as a missionary is through your obedience. If you are being as obedient as you can as a missionary and working your hardest then what else can you do? Others may not become converted, but at least you are becoming converted and that will bless generations.
Hope you all are enjoying the cold and snow in Utah or wherever you are. I love you all! I really mean it, it's not just something i say because I feel obligated!

PS. Everyone listen to the song that is the subject. I don't know if I have ever heard anything more beautiful in my life. Andrew and Celine have voices of angels.
