Hello people. So I realized last week I didn't tell you guys, but I got transfered. After seven and a half months living in Manassas I got transfered. I am actually back in my old area too where I was before I went to manassas. It has been super cool to be back in the same ward and see the people. I have a new comp named elder Kemp. His dad is in the military so he has lived all over the place. He currently comes from Germany so that is pretty cool. So far we don't have a ton of people to teach but slowly but surely that will change.
So something cool that happened this week is this lady named Betty. On Wednesday my comp was like let's text Betty. This lady loves to text. So we texted her all day about the gospel and stuff. Then that night while my comp was bashing this guy she called. So I stepped away and answered the call. We talked for like 15 minutes about how she is getting sepersted from her husband because he is abusive and all this stuff. Then we had kept texting her the whole week and she was going to come to church, but her friends bailed on her. Then last night right before we had to go home we decided to go by her and we had a super awesome lesson with her. She is really interested in baptism... 😏 Hopefully we can help her have a testimony of the restored gospel and not just want to get baptized.
On Saturday night I received an email from a missionary that went home that same day. I read the email that night and I couldn't sleep. I laid there for an hour and a half thinking about everything he had said. This guy was the best missionary and disciple of Christ that I have known. He told us about his mission life and how there is a difference between having faith to find someome that will get baptized and just having a positive attitude. It made me look back at my mission experience and realize that I didn't have the faith to find. I just was going around taking to everyone without a purpose or true desire to help these people. I am very thankful for the chance we have to learn from others and be humble enough to accept their help and correction. I hope we can all learn that. That is the only was to have a lasting relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
