Well hello. I am in DC so yeah. I really don't know what else to say except that the flight was a really long one! I go three hours of sleep the night before and I didn't sleep on the plane at all. In my travel group it was me and three other sisters so you could say that things went good. Basically right as we got off the plane there was the Mission President, his wife and the AP's! Man what nice people. Don't worry though, I got a companion. There was this other elder coming from the Mexico MTC so I got to chill with him the rest of the day. We went to the Lincoln Memorial right after and took some pictures, so that was pretty cool. We also got some café rio that night. Man that was amazing. The next day I met my companion or trainer and he is from Holliday and went to Olympus high school. Yeah he is a good guy. His Spanish is way good too.
Well Washington DC is way cool. It is really cold outside too. My first area is called Woodbridge. We are the furthest south area in the mission. We are also the only Spanish biking Elders in the mission. So we either get to bike, take the bus or walk everywhere. Last night we walked a long ways for this one appointment and it was pretty cold. Luckily the nice people that we were meeting with gave us some hot chocolate and some churro things. That is the other thing, I am going to get so fat. We get fed a lot and it is amazing stuff. The memebers don't hold back either. They just keep throwing the food on your plate. There is this one lady in the ward that feeds the missionaries and anyone from the ward that wants to after church every Sunday. She is the nicest oldest lady maybe in the world. We did service for her raking leaves. She had the randomest stuff in her yard too. She had everything from the shingles scattered under the leaves to a weight lifting contraption thingy. There was also dog poop scattered all throughout the yard too because she has four dogs! Crazy stuff! The members here are so nice though! They drive us around and come with us sometimes which I greatly appreciate so much! Well I hope all is going well in your lives and remember even though life may be hard it is hard for a reason! Love you all!!
