Hello once again family, friends and others. This week was a wet one. It rained almost everyday and it is currently raining right now. We started off the week with some exchanges. I had the pleasure of going with Elder Lavarn. He is a lovely little man that has lived in many different countries because his dad works for the government. He is also kind of a native speaker. Kind of, but yeah. He is a great guy though and we had a good exchange. The highlight was getting to help someone move a sofa. So yeah you could say it was pretty solid. Then Friday night we were booked full, full, full. That's when our first four lessons fell through and we were knocking some doors. That is when we heard some tingling bells. We had seen this guy many times, but never had the chance to talk to him. We had heard many good things about him too. We knew who it was, do you guys know who it was? Yeah it was the ice cream man except this guy was from Mexico. He walked all the way from Mexico pushing his little cart to deliver us some ice cream straight from mechoacan. At least that is what the wrapper said. Also he lives in manassas, but he was from Mexico! He was a lovely guy and the ice cream was way better than our American ice cream.
So I am almost done with the book of Mormon. I know I should have already read it 3 times by now. I am sorry I am not as good as shandon. Shout out to him for already reading the book of Mormon 3 times. Wahoo! So yeah, but I read Mormon 5:14 and it is basically the purpose of the book of Mormon. You don't have to look that verse up to know what the purpose is though because it is right on the cover. To testify of Jesus Christ. It isn't to provide us with doctrines or magical things about God. It has a simple purpose to testify of Christ. It really is amazing that people don't want to read or even reject it completely because that is all it does.
