Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I am super excited for christmas and to see my family. Things have been going good here and we had some real awesome things happen. This past week we hadnt found any new investigators up until sunday night. We arrive at this one neighborhood and Elder Weiszhaar tells me that we were going to stay there for the next 2 hours. I was like alright well we can teach two lessons in that time. Long story short we found this way awesome family of four and another guy. So we found five in the last two hours. It was way super cool.
I am very grateful for all of you who responded last week with your favorite scriptures. I really appreciate you sharing with me and i thought why not just share with everyone. So here are a few of the scriptures and testimonies. They are all great. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Mosiah 4:27. We cannot do more than our probationary human being permits but if we are diligent We will win the prize, whatever that may be in our situation.
In Spanish, of course. Mosiah 26:30. Compare it to English. “Cuantas veces” seems to really capture Grace in my mind. However many times it takes, He stands willing and ready to forgive. He is real, and He loves us.
About the Book of Mormon. I can’t help but LOVE the missionary stories. The story of Alma the younger and what a hard headed person he was, and then having such a change of heart and then living the rest of his life to make it up. The story of Amulek and how he saw Alma in a vision and then how the two of them went all over together just testifying with boldness of the truth of the gospel.
One of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon is 2 Nephi 33:10
10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe inChrist; and if ye believe not in these words believe inChrist. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good.I love it because it was an answer to a pray a while ago and every time I read it it reaffirms the reality that the Book of Mormon is SO TRUE!

I have many favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon. Since it is the Christmas season, I will share with you 2 Nephi 9 that talks about the Atonement and Christ’s suffering so that we can be made whole with God through our repentance. Here is two verses in that Chapter.
21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.
22 And he suffereth this that the resurrection might pass upon all men, that all might stand before him at the great and judgment day.
To start off I am going to share my favorite scripture with you. I think I've shared it with you before, but you asked so I will deliver. So my favorite is in Mosiah 14:4-7. This became my favorite when I was on my mission. I think it really paints the picture of what Christ has done for us. He suffered extremely and He did so willingly (He opened not His mouth). He did it because He loves us. These scriptures remind me how much He loves me and would do anything for me, and through Him all things are possible.
Favorite Scripture: Moses 7:28-30. Favorite Book of Mormon Scripture: Alma 7:13 I have read this a ton of times, but it means more when you contemplate the first sentence, and combine it with 3 Nephi 17 and Mark 6:43 or Luke 9:17. It may seem an odd association with all of those scriptures, but look at each one. "The spirit knoweth all things. Nevertheless..." So Christ could have just relied on the spirit to tell him about each individual. However he went beyond that and suffered in the flesh so he could really know how to succor people. Christ is leaving the people in 3 Nephi, but he stays and gives them more time. There are leftover fragments of fishes and bread. He shows again that he gives more than is needed. In all of these examples Christ gives more than is mandatory, or expected.
My favorite scripture since my mission has always been Alma 26:27. It was a great encouragement to me when I read it in my personal reading in March of 1999. I was so nervous to be going to Colombia. I was so unsure about leaving a girlfriend behind. I was so scared for my safety, whether I’d learn the language well enough or even be able to eat the food. It spoke to me very loud and clear. Pretty obvious in its message to me of what I needed to do, but the importance of this scripture to me today just as much as back then was that it spoke to me by the power of the Holy Ghost. I knew God wanted me to be an instrument in his hands to gather his children. I knew he wanted me to be comforted and to not worry about anything else. It was an experience that strengthened my testimony and still is an experience that I reflect on and am reminded of the love our Heavenly Father has for me.
