Hey friends! It has been another cold week here in the great state of Virginia! I really am growing to like Virginia, that is at least until summer comes again. Then I won't really be liking it so much. Good thing I just got one more! This week had some fun stuff! I got to go on an exchange with the Elder Valdez. He is a cool guy and no he is not latino. I also went to the famous Jarochita. I have literally heard of this restaurant in all of my areas and I finally got the chance to go there. It is probably the closest I can get to being in Mexico here. It was pretty legit. I got the tongue and head tacos. They were pretty good too. I will say that I liked the tongue tacos better. Other than that not much is going on. I guess I talk about the food that I eat a lot. I guess that those are the things that I remember.
So this very morning I finished the Book of Mormon in Spanish. It was so awesome. We had a meeting as a mission on Saturday and in the meeting they talked about the Book of Mormon and I decided that I wanted to finish it before Monday so I could talk about it a little. I read the last three verses today and I loved what they said. They talked about being perfected through Christ. I hope we all seek that. I just love the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. It really is the most perfect book in all of the earth. It will bring us closer to Jesus Christ than any other book will. Even more than the book that has the life of Jesus Christ. That is because it has the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and also we can learn more about the atonement of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. There is a quote in preach my gospel that say something along the lines of this," A study of the gospel of Jesus Christ will help you improve your behavior more than a study of behavior will help you improve your behavior." In this last conference President Nelson gave us a promise which I believe is a very important one. He promised us that if we read the Book of Mormon daily and apply what we learn then we can immunize ourselves from pornography. I take that as we can immunize ourselves from whatever we need. Whether that be pornography or any other bad habit. I hope that we can all feel of the power that comes from the Book of Mormon. That we can all immunize ourselves from pornography and anything else that harms our spirits. I hope that you can all finish the book of Mormon before the end of the year. This year has come and is going to go fast. Follow the invitation of the prophet and decide today to read the Book of Mormon everyday for the rest of your life. I love you guys so much and I hope that you are all enjoying life. Hopefully I will be able to see you guys around soon! Love you all! Have a good week!
