Hello everyone. I hope you have all had a great week. The longer I am here in the great state of Virginia as a missionary I realize how hard it is to find people who want to get baptized through knocking doors and street contacting, so wherever you are at in the world you should help out the missionaries and find someone for them to teach. These people are probably a lot closer to you than you guys think. This week we found out that as a district 84% of the people that we have taught and have been baptized were baptized because of members or because they were a self referral. That's quite a bit. The more I have thought about it I have realized that it is a lot easier for members to be missionaries than the actual missionaries. If that doesn't make sense, think about it and let me know what you think.
Speaking of members having people for us to teach this week we found two solid people through members. So one of them is the Mother of a less active member that just moved here from Peru. She told us about how she had a Book of Mormon in Peru but then lost it. When she got here she saw that her daughter had one and got so happy. We gave her one and she said she would read it and be baptized when she knew it was true. So last week we were talking to a member about her friend. So this Sunday we had a lesson with her. She told us that she wants to be baptized, but the only problem is that she knows that she needs to in her head but she hasn't felt it in her heart. So now we know what we need to work with. These two people are very solid and I believe will be baptized someday, whether it be while I am here or not. There is no greater joy than helping people learn more about Jesus and become closer to him. Doing that will help strengthen your testimony and your faith than anything else.
Well... Have a good week! Love you all!!
