Hello. Sorry I didn't write last week. We just did too much and it was too much fun. Things are very interesting here in Arlington. It is a great place. The work is different and hard. One thing that has been interesting for me is that in this area and my last area I have seen the hermanas have tons of baptisms meanwhile I have not had the privilege of teaching someone that has gotten baptized. It has been cool to see so many people get baptized, but also a little frustrating. I look back on the past few months and try and think about what I could have done differently and I honestly have no idea. Sometimes it is hard. The call of a missionary is to teach repentance and Baptize Converts. I think back on my last few months and I really have enjoyed the time I have spent with people and the things that I have learned.
This week we met this less active guy that me nor my companion had ever met. We called him and he told us to come over in 30 minutes. So we did. We sat down and talked to him. He told us his conversion story. He told us how he worked for a guy who was mormon. Every day he would hear his boss's boss say things about Mormons. One day our friend decided to ask his boss to teach him about the mormon church. The next day he found a book of mormon on his desk. He read whenever he had time. One day while he was at his apartment complex he saw two missionaries on the computers emailing and he approached them. He asked them if they were from the church and they said yes. Our friend then told them that he had read the book of mormon an she had a few questions. He then asked them, "who is the brother of Jared?" That is how it all started. After various months he then went to his boss at work and asked him to Baptize him. Then a year later he asked him to take him through the temple. We never know what affect we can have on people's lives. So keep looking for ways to serve and share.
